Labyrinth Garden

Yesterday, thanks to a very good friend who knew I would enjoy such an experience, I had the pleasure of visiting a beautiful labyrinth in Kincardine, Ontario. A labyrinth is a pattern with a single winding path that leads from the entrance to the centre. All labyrinths are unicursal, that is, they have only one path. This particular labyrinth was different from most as the path was edged with flowers and created in a colour pattern to represent the seven chakras.

It was truly a beautiful and peaceful place to experience. Walking the labyrinth is so symbolic of life. We walk our path often coming close to what we feel is the place we are to end up only to have the path change direction, taking us farther from our destination. If we stay on the path we will eventually get there, to the centre, to the place we are meant to be. Meanwhile, we should enjoy the path and all the beautiful sights and experiences along it.
