Sundays

When you are a nine-to-fiver Monday through Friday weekends are a time to look forward to.  It is our time - whether we use it to get caught up on things; spend time with family and friends; relaxing, or a bit of all of everything.  To me Sundays are especially a good time to just move a little slower instead of racing against the clock like the rest of the week.  I was recalling how when I was younger, there were no stores open on Sundays.  I sometimes think it would be a good thing to revert back to that. A day of slowing down.. for everyone.

This morning I enjoyed being awake while the rest of the house slept.  Making muffins, quiet coffee and then we took  a lovely walk to the lake on a gorgeous January morning.

Ahhh Sunday..

Time is an equal opportunity employer. Each human being has exactly the same number of hours and minutes every day. Rich people can't buy more hours. Scientists can't invent more minutes. And you can't save time to spend it on another day.  Even so, time is amazingly fair and forgiving.  No matter how much time you've wasted in the past, you still have an entire tomorrow.

We do not live far from Lake Ontario and we were at Jack Darling Park and the Rattray Marsh. The Rattray Marsh is a good place for bird watching.
