March

March is the bridge between winter and spring.  It is often a fickle and moody month not committing to being either cold or warm, instead wildly swinging between the two.  It gives us hope and then snatches it away just as fast.

In the days that it feels like spring will never arrive we need to remember that indeed it will arrive. You can close your eyes and envision what is to come. That there will soon be warm days filled with the sweet heady smell of lilac, hyacinth, daffodil and cherry blossoms; the earthy aroma of the ground after a nights rain; the cheerful song of the robin greeting our day.  In those early days of spring we feel renewed, refreshed and awakened after many months spent inside our homes and inside ourselves.

Although not always the most welcome, the winter months are an important time. The shorter days give us more time to rest, replenish and heal for the the more active months ahead.  As we anticipate the coming spring we may feel the excitement like that of a new love. You may feel an urgent desire to get moving and start new projects. Appreciate those feelings and the renewed energy and sense of hope and optimism they bring for this next season.

There is a purpose and value in each day of your life, in each season of your life.  Nurture your times of action, of creating, of doing, and value your quieter times of going within. The more you study nature, the more you will learn about yourself. Nurture and trust the seasons of your soul.
