In A Pickle

We have a dill tree (not really a tree.. but it is very tall) in the garden which led us to thinking about making pickles.  The jars sitting in the basement awaited filling. A trip to the Georgetown farmers market on Saturday rewarded us with some crunchy pickling cucumbers.   Today was a bit of a hot day to be boiling water for sterilizing jars.... never-the-less ...two kinds of pickles - six jars in total - were produced out of a $4.00 purchase.  Good bang (or crunch) for the buck.  Move over Bick's.
