The Promise of Spring
First a hint, then a sigh.
Then finally...
Warm breezes softly caressing your skin.
The light and warmth breathing energy into your soul
The sweet fresh scent dripping from glistening raindrops
The crisp clean green shoots reaching through the soil
The chartreuse haze of barely opened buds on the trees
The heady heavy scent of blossoms
The chorus of songbirds readying their nests
Everything so fresh and alive
Wondrous and new
All being reborn
Including you
“Though I do not believe that a plant will spring up where no seed has― Henry David Thoreau
been, I have great faith in a seed. Convince me that you have a seed
there, and I am prepared to expect wonders.”
