Long Weekend
It started off a bit late as it was a tad bit busy at the office.
Stopped on the way home and bought some ribs for dinner (apologies to all you vegetarians but my body needs the protein and iron desperately). They were so big I felt a bit like Fred Flintstone with his brontosaurus bones.
And so weekend starts off with a lovely Gin & Tonic with lime and raspberries (there is an abundance of berries which need to be eaten or, in this case, soaked in gin and then eaten).
A short tour of the garden happenings leads me to the first lilly to bloom in the garden.
The rest are not too far behind.
The first of the bee balm and the start of the summer squash (thanks to my bug eradicator Jordan who has been managing the cucumber beetles, earwigs and some other icky looking bug that are threatening the crop).
The rest of this first evening of the long weekend involves a comfy white chair-and-a-half with a glass of wine followed by a (hopefully) deep sleep.
